ALAT BY WEMA SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
ALAT by Wema is offering a month-long Summer Internship Program to empower young individuals with essential skills and knowledge for exploring the world. Participants will engage in hands-on experiences and learn from seasoned professionals. The internship runs from August 7th to August 31st, 2023, at selected Wema Bank branches nationwide. Participants will work on real projects, receive mentorship, and have networking opportunities. WELCOME OFFICER, WORLD TRADE ORGANIZATION (WTO)
The World Trade Organization (WTO) is seeking a Welcome Officer for their Office of the Director-General. The officer will be responsible for welcoming delegates, visitors, and guests, ensuring a pleasant experience during their meetings and visits to the WTO. They will also coordinate with various services such as security, protocol, transportation, and facility management to provide the specific services required for each event. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of the WTO's work, knowledge of security and protocol matters in international and government organizations, and familiarity with the WTO's infrastructure. Strong planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with proficiency in English and, preferably, French and Spanish as well. The position offers a fixed-term contract for two years with the possibility of extension.
The recruitment process will be carried out according to the WTO's Administrative Memorandum, and applications are open to nationals of WTO Members. FACILIATOR, IDEATE STARUP PROGRAM 2023
Become a facilitator for Enspire Hub's Startup Ideation Program, Ideate, and be part of fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. As a facilitator, you'll mentor and guide startups, conduct training sessions on building a startup, provide valuable feedback, and create a collaborative and supportive environment. Eligible facilitators should have proven experience in entrepreneurship, startup mentoring, or business coaching, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills. NEF AFRICA ENERGY INNOVATION CHALLENGE 2023 (UP TO $10,000)
The NEF is organizing the 8th Africa Energy Innovation Challenge, calling for early-stage energy entrepreneurs in Africa to collaborate with local research institutions or industries and develop a prototype model for a social energy enterprise, agro-industry, fintech solutions, or energy management system using local resources. The competition has four innovation tracks: Clean Energy Solutions for Agro-industry, Energizing Healthcare and Education, Smart Metering and Artificial Intelligence, and Cleaner Electrification of Transport/Oil and Gas. Young professionals between 18 and 35 years old from Africa are eligible to participate, either individually or in teams.
The proposals should be submitted in a concise format, not exceeding one side of an A4 page, and must include the project title, solution description, expected impact, a short abstract, design tools and methods, problem statement, estimated costs, and timeline. The evaluation criteria include the use of local resources, originality, commercial viability, and clarity of presentation. Winners of the competition will receive cash prize grants of up to USD 10,000 to demonstrate or scale their proposed solutions, and they will have the opportunity to present their prototype models at the 2023 Nigeria Energy Forum and benefit from unique networking opportunities and business development workshops. The timeline for the challenge spans from May 15 to November 23, 2023.

AGROHACK CHALLENGE FOR YOUNG AGRIPRENEURS IN NIGERIA (UP TO N1,000,000)
The AgroHack Challenge 2023 is calling for innovative ideas in the agriculture industry's value chain to create new opportunities for young Nigerians. The challenge aims to enhance rapid growth in the agriculture and food sectors, increase output and profitability for farmers, generate new jobs, and improve food security in Nigeria. Participants have a chance to win up to One million naira and will benefit from an accelerator program, a 5-day Enterprise boot camp, intense mentorship from international mentors, business support services, access to investors, potential clients, and new market opportunities.

YOUTHGOVTRACKA YOUTH FOCAL POINT PROJECT
The Brain Builders Youth Development Initiative (BBYDI) is launching the YouthGovTracka project and is seeking dedicated and passionate young individuals in all 36 states of Nigeria to serve as Youth Focal Points. BBYDI is a youth-led non-profit organization focused on strengthening civic freedoms, youth entrepreneurship, and good governance in Nigeria.
The Empowering Youth Voices in Governance Project aims to promote accountability and youth political participation in Nigeria. As a Youth Focal Point, your role will be to advocate for youth-inclusive policies, engage with elected officials, raise awareness about commitments, and monitor the progress of governors in your state based on their campaign promises. This important responsibility will involve conducting on-ground research, gathering data, and providing monthly reports on the performance of elected officials to promote transparency and accountability in governance.
Being a Youth Focal Point will allow you to significantly impact Nigeria's political landscape, acquire valuable skills in research and communication, and receive comprehensive training and ongoing support as a youth advocate for good governance.
